If you have been following me for a while on instagram, you may have seen my post on development economics and I shared my interest on sustainable development goals and also looking at the policy issues associated with development.
I have always had an interest in the work of the UN, and I have participated in various model united nations conferences both at secondary and university level. But it was a module I took last semester on “policy issues in developing economies and the MENA region” that solidified my interest in this path and has motivated me further to work for sustainable development in Nigeria and beyond.
All that being said, when my Data visualization lecturer asked for us to use data we find online to create a visualization that tells a story, I jumped on the opportunity and made a visualization of the recent UNDP report on Gender Development. This is an interactive visualization, so you can pick filters to help you understand the story. I am still learning to work with tableau public, but nevertheless I enjoyed creating this.Continue Reading
