Acne is the most stubborn and unwanted guest we could ever ask for. Comes in all forms and leaves us with a series of blackheads as a going-away present. And we all want simple steps to get acne-free skin.
If you’re like me, then you have tried everything —except for some laser beam action! From high-end skin care products to drugstore, organic to chemicals and all the ‘what-did-I-just put on my face’ in between!
Imagine my surprise when I realized that my years and years of torment could have been solved by strictly following four simple steps to acne-free skin. Well you’re in luck today, because I am sharing!
Step 1:
Buy a facial wash, preferably one that deep cleanses and specifies that it eliminates blackheads and spots. Use this EVERYDAY to wash your face! If you can, morning and night, will be superb!
This was £4.94 from my local drugstore.
Step 2:
Afterwards dry your face with a face cloth. This next step is important, you must not use the face cloth for any part of your body except your face! This is to avoid dirt, bacteria from transferring to your face. You should also keep the cloth clean. I prefer to use a white cloth so I know when its dirty.
I would recommend you buy one with a soft fibre so you don’t bruise or irritate your face.
Step 3:
To help maintain your healthy skin, you need to get rid of dead skin —now I don’t need to tell you why. As for how, well by exfoliating. This is done by using a facial scrub, the small grainy bits of the scrub helps remove the dead skin cells leaving your face smooth and clean. You could do this every other day. There are different types of exfoliates, you should buy one depending on your skin type. A natural scrub is highly recommended because you eliminate the harsh chemicals that could have side effects. If you’re in the DIY mode you could make yours.
Found out about this product through the beauty grapevine and the reviews were fab! I also use the face mask once a week to dry out acne. I concur on the great reviews. The two products were purchased on amazon for £7
Step 4:
Now this is another important one which has to do with hygiene. You should sleep on a clean pillow, it is common knowledge to change your pillowcase weekly so try and be strict about it. The oils and dirt from our hair plus dust in general stick to the pillow, which then transport to our clean face, making all our hardwork useless. So write a reminder now to stick to the weekly rule.
Just like with the face cloth, I prefer to use a white pillowcase so I know when it needs a change.
With these four ‘fool-proof’ method, I have managed to clear 90% of my acne. The rest is tied with eating the right food which I do with green smothies, veggies and fruits. I also moisturise everytime I wash my face, investing in a good moisturizer is a very good idea.
I hope these Simple steps help you to get to acne-free skin. Let me know in the comments what has worked for you or what you’ve tried that has failed.

I use the Neutrogena oil free acne wash and an astringent afterwards but just realized my face is peeling today :s

I am no expert but here’s my two cents 🙂
It might be the chemical from the astringent. The one time I experienced peeling was when I was in high school. The toner I was using at the time had strong chemicals which my face reacted too. Hope this helps 🙂
