The breakfast club is one of those places that you have to visit when you’re in London. And with all my years living in the UK, I didn’t get a chance to check it out but thanks to my Foodie sister W, we had brunch there recently.
We went to the breakfast club soho and had a yummy afternoon, check it out below.
For drinks, I wanted the Iced Tea, same as my sister, but she ordered the last one so I went for the Beetle Juice which had beetroot, ginger, pomegranate, lemon, carrot & apple. And finally my brother got the Elvis shake which had peanut butter and Banana.
For food, W got the REUBEN GRILLED CHEESE which was a sandwich with Salt beef, cheese, sauerkraut (fermented raw cabbage), pickles & Reuben sauce and it came with a side of fries.
My brother went for the PANCAKES & BERRIES which is a vegan option made of Pancakes, berries, maple syrup & vanilla cream with a side of fries as well.
They were both devilishly yummy!
And finally for me, based on the fact that my fave brunch food is an egg benedict, I opted for the BUTTERNUT SHAKSHUKA BENEDICT which is also a vegan option made out of Shakshuka (dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions), avocado, poached eggs, greek yoghurt, harrisa, hollandaise on chilli cheddar waffles.
Now I should have found out what Shakshuka was before ordering it because I wasn’t a huge fan of it and it ended up overpowering the flavours of the rest of the meal. But all the same, a benedict is always good.
This was an impromptu meal for me but I am glad I got to tick it off The Breakfast Club from my bucket list. I have very no pictures of the decor of the cafe but it is as quirky as you might have imagined it. And as you know about me, quirky is my middle name! They also had a memory wall similar to Seoul Bakery which I took a photo in front of.
