RESTAURANT | Pan-Asian food adventures @ Tampopo, Manchester

January 14, 2019

I appreciate good food, especially if it is of South East Asian origin, then I cannot get enough of it.

That being said, my favourite dish is a good sizzling pot of beef rendang. I remember I happened upon my first rendang by accident a few years ago. I took my Mum to Chinatown in London for the first time and we were searching for a halal restaurant, I remembered a restaurant that my Malaysian friends took me to around the area so we went there. I ordered a beef rendang and I never looked back.

Now wherever I go, I search for a restaurant that serves a beef rendang or my other fave, Carbonara. And I can safely say that, after all this time, I can tell a good one from a great one. Continue Reading

REVIEW | The Breakfast Club, London

January 12, 2019

The breakfast club is one of those places that you have to visit when you’re in London. And with all my years living in the UK, I didn’t get a chance to check it out but thanks to my Foodie sister W, we had brunch there recently.

We went to the breakfast club soho and had a yummy afternoon, check it out below.Continue Reading

Restaurant Review | PoW PAN-ASIAN, ABUJA

March 14, 2018

My journey with POW Restaurant Abuja started December 2016, I had just moved back to Nigeria and was “tasting” out—get it?!— the new restaurants in town. I stumbled across POW on instagram and loved the vibes it gave.

When it comes to restaurants, for me the ambience plays a huge role in my decision to eat there as I have mentioned in some of my previous restaurant reviews.

So Pow was right down my alleyway for ambience and decor!Continue Reading

I was back in penang and only had a few days left on my trip so I had to make a new list to prioritize where I would visit to do as much as possible, and one of those was checking out the Waka Japanese restaurant located in my hotel. If there is one thing that the Japanese people do well, it is the ability to transform spaces into some sort of serene and zen environment. I have noticed that of other Japanese restaurants I have visited and Waka was no different. The entrance in itself was like being transported to the streets of Kyoto.Continue Reading

RESTAURANT REVIEW | MASALA WAHALA, ABUJA

May 19, 2016

IMG_9915

My family celebrates everything! Birthdays, anniversaries, achievements and mini life happenings in between. I guess you could say that was where my attitude towards “forgetting my birthday is unacceptable” came from, but I like that about us.

A few months back, we had an anniversary to celebrate so we decided a family dinner was in order. Because of school, my siblings and I are only home a couple of times a year, this was a break where all of us were around plus a few cousins and uncles. Continue Reading
