I am camera shy. At least I think I am. This really baffles me, I’m the girl that makes videos and puts it up on YouTube which in a way is this decade’s equivalence of being naked in public. Posting online has become an art-form where people share their vulnerabilities and aspirations, for the whole world to do what they see fit with it—scrutinize, empathize or adore.
But I think my camera shyness might be of a particular kind, I cannot pose for pictures alone in public! A group picture and I channel my inner Karlie Kloss, but when I’m going solo, I suddenly feel as if everyone is staring holes at me. It’s worse when my photographer, takes forever to do the task of clicking. I suddenly feel naked and uncomfortable—hello emperor’s new clothes!

I planned on going to London for the International Fashion showcase and I was excited about putting together an outfit. The outfit I ended up with was built around my recent Bicester village purchases —the Tod’s Shoe and my Michael Kors Watch. I love both so much! The rest of my accessories were already in my closet, and they make up some of my favourite fashion items.
I like giving stories to my belongings, it is a long term habit, which ties in neatly with my sentimental nature. So each item in this picture reminds me of someone or something. Do you do that as well? Isn’t it interesting how when we look at our outfit from head to toe, it consists of different shopping trips and memories and sometimes all different designers. I always get mind blown by that fact. This outfit is a perfect example for me. Every little thing is from a different store and a different season 🙂
This was the best OOTD I could come up with after trying to shut everybody out. When I planned this outfit, I didn’t factor in the weather, I planned to have a fabulous photoshoot at this gorgeous garden near my school. Alas, the rain had it’s own agenda and I ended up in an old train station with a grumpy old man staring at me and a few odd people about. Maybe someday—soon enough I should hope—I shall build the inner model stamina to be comfortable in front of a camera in public.
Until then, I hope my attempts at taking decent outfit photos for the blog will be okay for your viewing. Please tell me I’m not the only ‘semi camera shy’ person out there? What is your favourite part of this outfit? Chat away in the comments lovely people….until next time. Good night or
