Arriving Kuala Lumpur, Shopping and food adventures, Tallest Building in Malaysia and Best Lamb ribs

There were some last-minute changes made to my trip—I will talk more about it in a later post—so I had to cut my stay in Kuala Lumpur by a day. I was a little—okay maybe more than a little— bummed about it because I was supposed to check out the Korea building on this day. Because it was my last day in KL, I decided to try out a restaurant I passed by in the mall near my hotel. I was drawn to the decor and I liked that they served carbonara—It has become somewhat of a tradition for me to try carbonara when I visit a restaurant that serves it. I like comparing the different types I have tried and seeing what variations are available. My favorite still remains the Carbonara with Chicken that is served at ‘Ask Italian‘ in Uxbridge, United Kingdom!

#MALAYSIA | CHEONG FATT TZE BLUE MANSION, #PENANG

November 1, 2017

Hello. Apa Khabar.

If you haven’t read my other posts about this trip please click Welcome To Malaysia, Masjid Kapitan Keling, Penang Street Food, Armenian Street Art & Teochew Chendul and Chocolate and coffee Museum.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I had a bit of time after visiting the Chocolate and Coffee Museum before I could attend my 3:30pm viewing of the Blue mansion. As I was walking around the neighborhood and trying to  find shade from the sudden downpours, I happened across this magnificent Temple smack in the middle of a residential area, sitting across from this hipster coffee shop. Well I didn’t need to think twice about it, I decided what better view than this to sit out the rain—or in my case stand!

#MALAYSIA | ARMENIAN STREET ART x TEOCHEW CHENDUL #penang

August 13, 2017

Hello. Apa Khabar.

If you haven’t read my other posts about this trip please click here, here and here

Still on my third day at Penang, after we—my friend Amina and I—have had a look at Masjid Kapitan Keling, we walked around the neighbourhood for a while. It was early afternoon so the streets were a bit less busy, but apparently around dinnertime, some restaurants around there get filled up with the dinner crowd and long queues.Continue Reading

#MALAYSIA | Masjid Kapitan Keling #Penang

July 29, 2017

Hello.

If you haven’t read my other post about this trip please click here and here

On my third day at Penang, my friend and I decided to go on a street art hunting adventure. Penang is known for its street art which I will tell you more about in the next post.

The first stop of the day was Masjid Kapitan Keling. It was sitting pretty and majestic in a corner of Georgetown like a palace! One thing that caught my eye was the name of the street, Buckingham. Continue Reading

#MALAYSIA | #PENANG STREET FOOD

July 22, 2017

Hello.

If you haven’t read my first post about this trip please click here.

I stopped off the last time about my friend driving up to Penang to see me on my first full day there. She arrived in the evening with her dad and we decided to go out for a meal. They took me to a street food park at a place around the popular Gurney Drive—for some reason this reminded me a lot about the place described in Crazy Rich Asians where Nick and his friend took Rachel when she first arrived at Singapore—apparently home to some of the best street food.Continue Reading
