Dear Mulberry Delphie,
It started with an auspicious mail that warned me that I will flip for you. I was intrigued but not entirely convinced.
I remember being a very shy and timid girl just a few short years ago which feels like yesterday in the grand scheme that is life. I always bottled up when put into situations where I had to speak in public. my thoughts came out as a squeal and if nobody heard it, I brush it back to wherever it came from.
I was at a society meeting earlier today and I tried to voice out my opinion of something but my tiny voice was lost in the noise, and if this was the yesteryear me I would have just let it slide, but I said my point again in a louder voice and was heard. This got me thinking as to how I got to this stage and how there might be so many of you out there who are like the old me.
They say green tea is an acquired taste but I say we all need to acquire it! The benefits we derive from the little teabag is so worth bearing the taste of the tea—plus the more you drink it, it slowly grows on you. Green tea does not only have health benefits—such as aiding weight loss— but it also is good for our skin. It contains a lot of antioxidants which flushes out toxins and aid in getting rid of acne—you know that is the magic word! This it does by unclogging pores and removing dirt.
There are plenty of ways you can use green tea, you can splash it on your face or rub the teabag on your face. But for getting rid of impurities we’ll use it as an exfoliate! In this recipe, the sugar, honey and green tea makes an abrasive texture which when rubbed in, removes impurities such as dead skin cells. It is good for correcting sun damage too.
I have a fascination with uniqueness and I gotta say Miss Monáe is as unique as they come. In a world where mainstream music is the order of the day, it is well refreshing to find someone with a unique sense of style, talent and character. Who is she you may ask…
Janelle is a 29 yr old R&B and soul singer, songwriter, composer and producer who is also an arch android from metropolis. In the spirit of Valentine’s day I decided to write this post to kinda remind us all that love does not have one definition and how we can find love and happiness in the most unusual places with the most random acts.
When I think of what love is to me, I am left with a fluster of thoughts, ideas and imagination. So because of that, I have decided to not think hard about this and to just let my thoughts and fingers be in sync. These are the things that make my heart flutter and give me occasional butterflies <3
