Its been at the back of my mind for a while now to treat my Mum to some Clarins skincare. She loves it a lot and so I thought it will be a nice random pressie for her. Seeing as I wouldn’t be home till June, it was just something on my to-do-list before then. Luckily when I was out shopping today, I stopped by Debenhams, and well being the “skin care nerd” that I am, I had a wander round the department. I spotted that Clarins partnered with the designer Rocha John Rocha to design this beauty bag which I know my mum will love and they were giving out free samples alongside it. So I decided to buy Mum’s pressies early.
They say green tea is an acquired taste but I say we all need to acquire it! The benefits we derive from the little teabag is so worth bearing the taste of the tea—plus the more you drink it, it slowly grows on you. Green tea does not only have health benefits—such as aiding weight loss— but it also is good for our skin. It contains a lot of antioxidants which flushes out toxins and aid in getting rid of acne—you know that is the magic word! This it does by unclogging pores and removing dirt.
There are plenty of ways you can use green tea, you can splash it on your face or rub the teabag on your face. But for getting rid of impurities we’ll use it as an exfoliate! In this recipe, the sugar, honey and green tea makes an abrasive texture which when rubbed in, removes impurities such as dead skin cells. It is good for correcting sun damage too.
Acne is the most stubborn and unwanted guest we could ever ask for. Comes in all forms and leaves us with a series of blackheads as a going-away present. If you’re like me, then you have tried everything —except for some laser beam action! From high-end skin care products to drugstore, organic to chemicals and all the ‘what-did-I-just put on my face’ in between!
Imagine my surprise when I realized that my years and years of torment could have been solved by strictly following four simple steps. Well you’re in luck today, because I am sharing!
